Check out our contributors on the Giving Tree!
As a way of recognizing our supporters we have developed funding levels that will be used to create a "Giving Tree" that will be permanently installed at the completed facility and available online. Different levels of support will be noted in variations of the size and colour of the leaves on the tree.
In 2017 the Events centre feasibility study was completed. The study outlines the needs and support of the local community. With an astounding 95% positive response to the proposed events centre residents have declared that they are ready for a change.

In May 2018 a fundraising group was established by the Events Centre Project Management Team. This group has been working diligently in planning for and establishing fundraising initiatives for the proposed Events Centre and has set a community fundraising target of $2 million.
"It would be very positive for our students, staff and community members to have access to a facility with multiple purposes, one that will celebrate diversity and healthy active living within the communities."
"A facility such as this in Red Lake would strengthen our relationship and would provide opportunities for our youth, families, and elders. It would bring the entire community and region together and provide a healthy venue for all to enjoy."
"We believe strongly that remote northern communities should have some of the same opportunities for residents to enjoy the performing arts as those who live in larger urban centres."
"We are pleased to support this project as the facility will provide a much needed venue for cultural gatherings, training and conferences that bring our communities together with the citizens of Red Lake. This facility is key to continuing to build healthy multi-cultural partnerships in the region and providing a gathering space for innovation and regional economic development."
"Beyond the physical and psychosocial benefits, recreation is a wise financial investment resulting in savings in health, social service and justice costs."
"FIREFLY supports this project as it is an excellent community resource in support of the physical and mental health well-being of children, youth and families of the Red Lake area."
